Become a host and set up a playroom
This guide takes you from the first host account to a playroom that is ready for real bookings.
Requirements
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You operate a playroom or event location.
- You can provide accurate information about the location, prices, availability, and applicable rules.
- You have the payout and payment information needed for the payment methods you select.
Step 1: Create your host account
Create an account on my-playrooms.de and complete the account information requested in the host area. Use an email address you monitor regularly because booking and account messages are sent there.
Step 2: Create the playroom profile
Open the playroom editor and complete every public section:
- Add a clear name and description.
- Upload bright, recent photos that show the rooms and important details.
- Select the available amenities and equipment.
- Add the location and arrival information.
- Define house rules, permitted use, and any restrictions.
Write the profile for a guest who has never visited the location. Explain what is included, what the guest must bring, and how access works.
Step 3: Configure availability and prices
Before activating bookings:
- Set the available days and times.
- Define the booking duration and time restrictions.
- Configure the base price and additional charges.
- Add blocked dates or imported events when the playroom is unavailable.
- Review the resulting calendar for conflicts.
Do not publish availability until it matches your real operating schedule. See Sync your calendar with iOS and Android to view your bookings on your phone's calendar app.
Step 4: Configure payments
Choose the payment methods you want to offer. For online payments, activate the Stripe payments module, complete Stripe Connect onboarding, and then enable Stripe in the playroom's Payment and invoice settings. Also check any offline methods and explain their payment timing in the booking information.
Step 5: Add operational modules
Open Host area > Modules and enable the tools that fit your workflow:
- Telegram notifications for immediate booking alerts.
- Vouchers for campaigns and repeat guests.
- Last-minute discounts for short-notice availability.
- Access management for codes and self-service entry.
- Guest contacts for synchronizing guest details to your devices.
- Social media for creating promotional posts.
Some modules require activation by My Playrooms support. The module information page shows whether a module is active and how to request activation.
Step 6: Test before publishing
- Open the public playroom page while signed out.
- Check the description, images, amenities, prices, and available dates.
- Walk through the booking flow as a guest.
- Confirm that the selected payment method and payout account are ready.
- Send a test Telegram message if Telegram notifications are enabled.
- Verify access instructions with a test device if access management is enabled.
Step 7: Operate the playroom
After going live, review new booking requests regularly, keep availability current, answer guest questions quickly, and update prices or rules whenever the real-world conditions change.
Practical tips
- Use high-quality photos taken in daylight.
- Keep the first paragraph of the description focused on the strongest benefit.
- State extra costs and cancellation rules clearly.
- Respond quickly to requests, even if you need more time to decide.
- Review the calendar before accepting a booking from another channel.
